Steven John Clark unfolded from a natural progression, by way of an unconventional route, to form an alternative perspective of sculpture. A tradesman, turned fashion graduate, come sculptor, Steven John Clark carries with him a departure from the rigid nostalgia of classical stone work towards a more fluid, evolving methodology and approach. Each of his bespoke pieces begins and ends with challenging the materials at hand, using intuition rather than a calculated stiffness to ingrain a layer of emotive gesture.

The accompanying studio, denHolm, is a section of the whole. A functional component of the broader imagination that deems practicality a necessity at its core, and with that the challenge of delivery its motivation. denHolm is a built idea comprising of a suite of artists that work alongside Steven John Clark, to share and explore its world within itself, and create utilitarian art for people to live amongst.

Steven John Clark and denHolm combined are an intentional dichotomy of two creative plains of thought meeting at points of functional creativity and pure expression.
